Karl Fazer founded a patisserie in Helsinki in 1891, where the locals could buy pastries and coffee. Pihlaja, which is the oldest sweet made by Fazer, started production in 1895.

Now Fazer is one of the biggest food companies in the Nordics. In Finland, Fazer is the biggest sweets manufacturer and one of the biggest bakeries. Some of their most famous brands are Dumle, Geisha, Vuoksen rice pies and Alku.

Everyone in Finland knows the name Fazer and has eaten both Fazer pastries and sweets in their lifetime!
